FAQ
The villa offers fibre broadband with excellent wifi and repeaters in all areas of the house. In close proximity there is a mobile tower/site, delivering very good mobile reception on all networks.
The pool has a size of 8x3.5m. It is 1m deep on the shallow end and 1.7m on the long end. Please beware for small children: no fence!
Yes, the pool is heatable and from Mar-May and Oct it will be more cozy with the heating (charged separately) turned on.
The closest one is the Carvalhal beach, some 6mins. by car.
No, we offer beach towels, parasol, and also some beach gear (beach tennis, volleyball, football, sand shovels for kids) at the house.
In the house there is a collection of board games, playing cards and crayons available -- for the few rainy days in winter or to pass the time before heading to the beach. We also have beach games like several balls (soccer, beach/volley), beach tennis, sand shovels etc. in the house.
A babysitter can be booked at request.
Yes, just let us know in advance so we can prepare.
The smart TVs (in the bedrooms) have Netflix, Disney and Amazon installed and activated. Please don’t change accounts. On the main TV in the living room additional premium sports programming (Champions League, Bundesliga, Premier League) is available.
It's highly recommended to have a car to easily navigate the area. There is a bus service available, but frequency is low and it doesn't connect to the beaches.
We can recommend transportation services to the airport.
Yes, private cooking can be booked. Please tell us sufficiently in advance.
For long-term rentals we offer a free cleaning per week. Additional cleaning during your stay can also be arranged (charged separately).
The area offers many outdoor activities and excursions. We have a manual available for you in the house (and will send to you digitally before your arrival so you can plan, if you want to), but are also happy to assist with recommendations -- just let us know about your interest!
There are three golf courses close by: the well-established Tróia Golf (20mins by car), and two newly opened courses even closer: Dunas (10mins) and Pinheirinho (15mins). Further courses are on the Sétubal peninsula (60-80mins drive).
We can set up a dedicated workspace for you, including a 27'' high-res monitor with a videocam. The fibre internet and WiFi is very reliable (multiple repeaters in the home) and allows for high-quality videoconferencing.
Yes -- if you arrive in the evening you might want to book a restaurant upfront. Especially in high season you should do this in advance. We are happy to give you recommendations!
